About me

Josh Carrington, a skilled acupuncturist based in Glasgow Southside, specialising in Traditional Chinese Medicine to restore balance, relieve pain, and support overall health.

My mission is to empower you through the healing benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), helping you achieve more balance, vitality, and ultimately a better quality of life. Combining the ancient wisdom of TCM with a modern understanding of healthcare, my approach provides safe, effective, and non-invasive solutions tailored to your needs. I specialise in a range of TCM therapies designed to harmonise with your body’s natural healing processes, including acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and Gua Sha.

My passion is helping people feel their best, particularly those who may be new to acupuncture. Starting with a warm, welcoming environment where your comfort is prioritised, I work collaboratively with you, taking the time to explain and answer questions so that you always feel informed and at ease. I believe that everyone’s path to feeling better is unique, and I am committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate care every step of the way. Whether you’re looking for pain relief, digestive issues, relief from headaches, support with fertility, or a way to boost your overall wellbeing, I’m here to listen and create a personalised treatment plan for your health goals.

I hold a BSc in Acupuncture from the Northern College of Acupuncture, where I completed over 400 hours of rigorous clinical training and three years of in-depth study. My commitment to excellence and ongoing education is reflected in my memberships with respected professional bodies, including the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS), and Acupuncture Fertility Network. As a NADA-GB Practitioner, I am also qualified to offer specialised ear acupuncture for addiction, stress, and mental health support.

Before establishing my practice in Glasgow, I spent three years as the practice manager at the renowned York Clinic for Integrated Healthcare, founded by Professor Hugh MacPherson, a pioneer in acupuncture research.
